Suburban Acres Civic League Picnic this Saturday from 10:30 – 1pm

The Suburban Acres annual parade was cancelled and they have now scheduled a picnic to be held this Saturday, August 22 from 10:30 to 1pm at Suburban Park Elementary.

This is the make-up event for the cancelled 4th of July parade and picnic.

Food (hot dogs, chips, and drinks) courtesy of Bryan Zenarola of Coastal Convenience Store Group/Tinee Giant.  Please bring a dessert to share for our dessert cook-off!  Prizes and bragging rights available!  Also thanks to Chris Perry and the team at Suburban Assett Management.

They will also have a patriotic bicycle and pet mini-parade, again with prizes.

Games for kids and the family, and the folks from Bay Star Homes will be on site with information on the new Bay Star Homes program.

Caton Park/Suburban Park Elementary School playground, 10:30 am – 1 pm

Firehouse Subs is open at Wards Corner

Firehouse_Subs_97625Firehouse Subs is now open at Wards Corner.

It is located in the Midtown Shopping Center located at the northeast corner of Wards Corner.  The official opening date was July 27, 2014.

John Knight wrote in saying:

“The restaurant is beautiful with a gorgeous mural depicting Midtown Shopping Center many years ago.  The owner’s and staff were all friendly and, of course, Firehouse makes the best subs!  This is a great addition to Ward’s Corner.”
