At almost 50 years old, The Pancake House at Wards Corner has become a neighborhood staple. The Virginian-Pilot printed an article/review in their June 20, 2011 edition.
You’re not likely to leave The Pancake House hungry, although you may feel like taking a nap after ingesting all those carbs.

Wards Corner Now - Wards Corner, Norfolk, Virginia 
It’s nice to see such a positive article on a mainstay of Wards Corner. The Pancake House has shown, for many years, that “if you build it, they will come”. They are a Ward’s Corner business that does a quality job and hence are well respected and they do a great business!
I brought them to this restaurant not only was the food delicious the coffee was great service was excellent prices are good. will be visiting again!!! The vintage pictures on the walls are awesome!!! Provides us with the history of Norfolk,
