Virginia Natural Gas line replacement, winter 2015/16

The large pipes in the median of Granby Street are a part of Virginia Natural Gas’ efforts to replace aging infrastructure.  Work will primarily be performed during the day, Monday through Saturday.

Existing natural gas service to homes and businesses will not be interrupted during construction. However, service will be interrupted for a short period near the completion of the project.

STREETS AFFECTED:  Granby Street, Willow Wood Drive, Willow Grove Court, Orchard Street, W. Arden Circle, E. Arden Circle, W. Severn Road, S. Ridgeley Road, Oak Grove Road, Sinclair Street, Filbert Street

PROJECT SCOPE:
• Installation of: 37 Services
• 1,200’ of 2” plastic
• 6,000’ of 4” plastic
• 5,500’ of 12” steel
