Another long-time Wards Corner business closes down. Wards Corner Now received word that Sarah’s Cards and Gifts, formerly known as Sarah’s Hallmark Shop, has closed its’ doors for good.
It is very sad to see another business go and there may be plenty of blame to go around, but as one local businessman put it, “To look at the glass as half full though, 34 years in business there says something very positive about Ward’s Corner.”

Very sad to hear this. I have shopped at this store for over 25 years and love it. I never go to any other Hallmark because Sarah’s is the BEST!!! I will truly miss you all!!!!!!
I am so sorry to see her close as I shopped there and also recommended her shop to my customers on many occasions. Can it get any worse at wards Corner?
We will miss Sarah’s Hallmark. Although vacancies did hurt Cathy, she told me that real whammy was when Hallmark started selling cards at their competitor’s stores. I do think you will see more tenants entering this shopping center soon. The owner seems to be getting more motivated.
