I live in Orlando Area. There still fooling around with lite rail. I think they should get off square one and get it built. I lived in Norfolk for a lot of years and
would like an update on when it will run, and from from where to where. I will drive from Orlando to Norfolk just to enjoy the train ride. I was formerly a Traffic Analyst with the Virginia Port Authority several years ago.

I’m just a young adult who plays in an indie rock band in ocean view and I rind it shocking that this area of Norfolk has no real music venues for young adults and even kids. The only places bands can play at are bars, most of which require people to be 21, and none are indie/punk rock friendly. There’s alot of young adults in the area who I believe could find a positive outlet through music, and I myself have seen some real musical talent in this city, but they only play for bands that play other cities. I believe a venue by the railroAd tracks would be ideal. I firmly believe it would be in the Norfolk and wards corner tradition to bring a good injection of youth culture.

As a new financial advisor to the area, I have been getting around the neighborhood to meet many of my neighbors. I have to say I feel honored to be a part of such a great community after meeting so many friendly and warm people. I would like to introduce myself and our Commission to your group, and see how we can work together on issues that relate to the citizens with disabilities, including access, transportation, and education. When and where would it be possible to do so? I see that you meet at various times and locations.

I just learned about the website this morning and i think it’s a great idea! I wouldn’t mind seeing something on the site though that relates to the military population of the community. I’m active duty military and even though i’m not originally from Virginia, i have lived, shopped, volunteered and worshipped in the Ward’s Corner area for many years now, (beginning even before i enlisted in the military)–everytime i return from overseas, there’s only one area in Hampton Roads that makes me feel at home!
