Pilot Online is reporting that the May 9th fire at the Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church was arson. The fire damaged the child care center at the church. There is an ongoing investigation by the fire department.

If anyone has any information about this, please call either the Norfolk Police Arson Squad or the NFD. I am sure someone saw something that night that they might not realize is a key to finding out who did this. Usually the arsonist watches the commotion that the fire generates while it is happening from somewhere close by the fire.
