The Virginian-Pilot is reporting:
A man died after he was shot in the 7600 block of Lankford Ave., in the Wards Corner section of the city, on Tuesday night.
Deonta Person, 20, was shot just after 9 p.m., police said Wednesday afternoon. Someone drove him to Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center, where he died a short time later, police said.

A quick search of the Norfolk Circuit Court docket reveals a “Deonta Person” being indicted in 2009 for 4 counts of robbery and 2 counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
